My Plan To Solve Domestic Violence
In Orange New Jersey domestic violence is one of the major crimes occurring in the township. One of the ways Orange should fix the problem is to create a safety plan for the abuse victims. Orange should help the abuse victims create plans that will ensure their safety when the are in danger. Orange should have a hotline for domestic violence victims to call when they feel as though they need someone to talk to but there is no one around them. Another way to help solve domestic violence in Orange would be to have a local shelter for victims who are leaving and have no place to go. At the shelter the victims should be in therapy, and under go defensive training classes to ensure them that they now have the skills to properly defend them selves.

Three Professional Sources
My first professional source is from the journal of Interpersonal Violence titled Domestic Violence During Pregnancy in an Eastern City of Turkey: A Field Study. The journal entry is about domestic violence during pregnancy, and how decision makers should educate young girls about the signs of domestic violence.

I understand that domestic violence may be caused by anger. I understand that the abuser may say it will never happen again and that they love you. I understand that people can change. However, domestic violence is not or should not be the solution to anger. Physically, mentally, and/or verbally abusing someone is not love, and people will lie to get what they want. Domestic violence is a serious problem in relationships that should get address immediately.

Thesis Statement
If you know a person that deal with alcoholism or other drugs, know a person who has witnessed domestic violence as a child, and someone who wants to have great power or aggressive behavior then you should know that that person is most likely the abuser in a domestic violent relationship, and should help the victim in the relationship get out of it.

Possible solutions about domestic violence using logos, ethos, and pathos
Logos- is the clarity of the claim, the logic of its reasons, and the effectiveness of its supporting evidence.
-Possible solutions to solve domestic violence while using logos would be *To get a restraining order against the abuser
*To seek help before it is too late
*To realize the signs of DV beforehand
Ethos- refers to the trustworthiness or credibility of the writer or speaker.
-Possible solutions to solve domestic violence while using ethos would be *A way to solve domestic violence is to see the signs before they appear, I've read articles about how being aware of the signs before can possibly help prevent the abuse.
Pathos- is often associated with emotional appeal.

Update
Today I attended a semior and one of the topics that was discussed was domestic violence and the similarities it has with human trafficking. I found this a very interested topic because I've never thought of the two having relations. I learned that there are other forms of domestic abuse then just its being physical. There can be economic control, the using of childen, and threats. I also learned that domestic violence can often be a push factor for the trafficker.

Quote From The Great Debaters
"In Texas they lynch Negroes. My teammates and I saw a man strung up by his neck and set on fire. We drove through a lynch mob, pressed our faces against the floorboard. I looked at my teammates. I saw the fear in their eyes and, worse, the shame. What was this Negro's crime that he should be hung without trial in a dark forest filled with fog. Was he a thief? Was he a killer? Or just a Negro? Was he a sharecropper? A preacher? Were his children waiting up for him? And who are we to just lie there and do nothing. No matter what he did, the mob was the criminal. But the law did nothing. Just left us wondering, "Why?" My opponent says nothing that erodes the rule of law can be moral. But there is no rule of law in the Jim Crow south. Not when Negroes are denied housing. Turned away from schools , hospitals. And not when we are lynched. St Augustine said, "An unjust law in no law at all.' Which means I have a right, even a duty to resist. With violence or civil disobedience. You should pray I choose the latter." -James Farmer Jr.
This quote is spoken by James while the debate team was debating at Harvard. This quote relates to domestic violence. James is stating that it is not right to go around killing people. Henry was trying to justify that the killer in this case did not not why excatly the "Nigger" was lynched or set on fire. No man or women desrves to ever be treated like that. No man or women should be killed or set on fire after their death and then people will start wondering if they really did what they were acused of. Domestic violence can also lead to death.
